Hi! I'm Sarah, a university student, writer, researcher, and aspiring victim advocate with an endless curiosity about people, culture, and the stories that shape our world.

After earning my bachelor's degree, I hope to pursue a Master of Social Work and build a career advocating for survivors of violence. Creating safer, more compassionate communities has always been at the heart of what I want to do. At the same time, I know I never want to lose my love for anthropology, travel, and human connection.

This blog is where those passions come together.

Whether I'm traveling abroad, sitting in a local coffee shop, riding public transportation, or simply observing the world around me, I find myself asking questions. Why are some spaces more accessible than others? How do cultural values shape the way people treat one another? What can everyday interactions teach us about gender, disability, identity, community, and belonging?

Rather than simply documenting where I travel, I hope to explore how people live. Through an anthropological lens, I write about the patterns I notice, the questions they raise, and the perspectives they offer. My goal isn't to claim I have all the answers, but to encourage thoughtful conversations about the experiences of marginalized communities and the ways our environments influence the lives of those around us.

Many of these reflections are informed by both my academic studies and my own lived experiences. I believe that some of the most important lessons come from listening, observing, and remaining open to perspectives different from our own.

Thank you for being here. I hope you'll explore the world with me — not just as tourists, but as curious observers, thoughtful learners, and compassionate human beings.
